"Unable to sign in due to a server error, please try again later" when attempting to log into my account via the BeamDog Client 1.8.1 I am giving this notification. This is using my desktop with Windows XP SP3.

I've rechecked the user name/email & password.

I've add the ports (6969, 49152, 5672) per the FAQ. I assume those are TCP. But I've also attempted adding those as UDP with no luck as well.

Added "BeamDog" as a Program, changed scope to "all".

Shutoff the "Firewall"
Shutoff the Anti-virus (Avast)

Monitored the ports using CurrPorts. It shows with each attempt at a log in the ports shift.

I've added the ports that were attempted through the monitor. Then get the same "Unable to sign in due to a server error, please try again later".

I should have noted that I've rebooted along the way with the same results.

So I go to my laptop (Windows 7 Home), download the BeamDog Client 1.8.1 & install. It connected first try.

It connects to the internet via the same router.

I've read through the forums looking for similar problems, nothing.

Now after 2+ hours of trying I am at a loss of what to try next.

I assume you're on a regular residential connection, not campus internet or something similar?

On the machine that isn't working, can you send an email to support@beamdog.com containing this file:

C:\Users\<YourUsername>\AppData\Local\BeamDog\Player\BeamDog.trace
