We are seeing a very heavy load on the webstore and with the clients. We've managed to make a number of fixes and the store and clients are much happier. We'll continue to monitor and tweak as required.
We do ask for some patience as we've been working hard overtime for months to complete the game and we do need some time to sleep between server fixes and new builds of the game.

Beamdog client and Buldurs Gate EE standalone both crash while downloading BG EE on Win 7 -> I believe there is an issue with P2P transfers so dont enable them or you will have to reinstall probably...
Hope Beamdog fixes it soon.

Does the beamdog client have provisions for Proxy?
I can't download my BG:EE because neither the beamdog client nor the standalone installer can get past the proxy!

Preload is download. It means downloading in advance before the game is released to avoid the queues on release day.

Yeah that is probably just in your country. Apparently for me it's 7am on the 29th.
But the thing I don't get is how is this apparently the 'preload' if the full game is 3.8gb.

It's November 28th. I preloaded. I opened the folder. There is no install file, nor any other .exe that I can find. What gives? Do I have to wait all day to play this? So much for pre-ordering.

The game is available 8pm GTM, which obviously will be different if you don't live in the United Kingdom. Until then you can only pre-load it so you won't have download the whole thing once it's fully released.

It is my sincere hope that these glitches with the Beamdog launcher/downloader with be addressed and adjusted long before BG2:EE is released. And, yes, Beamdog, you will give us BG2:EE. We like it. We love it. We want some more of it. My current issue is that my launcher is switching between "1 hour, 10 minutes" and the dreaded "Limited connectivity: One or more games can't be downloaded". Oh, the horror!!!
Okay, true, I have the original game and expansion on CD (6 discs in all), and I can easily just install that and bask once more in the glory of that epic tale. Of course, the resolution is only 640x480, and I have to make certain adjustments to make it function properly on Windows Vista. But I can still play the game, darn it!
That being beside the point, I plunked down my $19.99 so that I could relive it in higher rez and experience added content. Begging is not my strong suit, but if that's all you need to iron out the download issues, then I and BG fans everywhere are more than ready to oblige.
