Same deal here. Win7 Ultimate, 3.2Ghz, 8GB ram, ATI Radeon 4850, have the 11.9 drivers. signed up to Beamdog just for this and CRASH, hope there's a fix soon

Again, same issue as everyone else here. Got an ATI Radeon 5970. Getting the same "mdk2hd.exe has stopped working" message from Windows.
Hope you guys can help us out and keep us up to date. I'm sure many new people came to BeamDog just to get this game, including myself, and I'm personally looking forward to seeing how this is dealt with in comparison to Steam, as I am not yet familiar with your service.

Same promblem- ATI Mobility Radeon HD 3670- Thanks

The consistent thread here seems to be ATI cards, but only a small percentage seem to be having the issue. We're bringing in some hardware to test a potential fix this morning.

I never get an error message or crash, the game just stays at a black screen forever until i force close it. AMD Radeon HD 6850, latest drivers.

We're still trying to collect more info - can you send in the output of your DxDiag?

I have the same problem.
I am getting dont send error on the file mdk2hd.exe.
The hardware is :
Ati radeon hd 6770 and intel pentium D.

We are in contact with ATI / AMD regarding the issue. We hope to have a solution in the near future.

The startup error happens with ATI AND GeForce.
In Windows 7 x86 AND x64.
With the latest drivers AND latast DirectX.
It happens on computers that meet the minimum requirements AND computers that don't.

Is there other requirements besides Windows updated + drivers updated + DirectX updated?

I have the same issue, but I have an NVIDIA card. I get a black screen, and it SOUNDS like the opening logo cinematic is starting, but a second later the whole thing freezes. GeForce 9600M GT, Windows 7 Ultimate.
