You can just use Shadowkeeper to edit your character to give yourself a bag of holding.

You do have to do some jiggerypokery to get Shadowkeeper to work but google is great at explaining what to do.

Cancel request. I misunderstood how the game interface worked. I thought I would have to log onto your site in order to play the game.

I'll quite happily surrender my Beamdog version of the game in order to get a Steam Key for the game as well.

I would willingly trade in my beamdog key for a steam key. I went at length over email regarding the purchase of this game and was categorically told it would never appear on other platforms other than beamdog.

I begrudgingly believed them and purchased the game and now just 6 weeks later here it is on steam, and probably others that I am unaware of!!. So how can I get rid of this beamdog version and get a steam version?

I just installed the Beamdog client and signed in, then tried to buy Baldurs gate. It gives me a password error which I cannot get past.
There no 'support' link or 'contact' link either in the client or on the website, and the only Baldur's Gate topic on the forum says to contact the suppliers and is locked.
If this is a measure of Beamdog's commitment to customers then I'm off, back to Steam!

I too would like to request my license for BG:EE to be a Steam license rather than Beamdog.

It was in exceptionally poor taste to state that BG:EE was going to be a Beamdog exclusive item without the caveat that it would only be a time-limited exclusivity.

I would like to try beamdog but when I click "download the client" it goes to http://www.beamdog.com/about/us instead of the download.

How would people go about making said request?

Bare in mind, I likely won't request a steam key as I actually think I'll prefer the current client that doesn't require me to be online all the time like Steam does (admit it, offline mode on Steam is spotty at best).

Now, if you ever release a gog.com version let me know asap as I'd be all over that.

We're trying to work it out with Atari to get Steam codes for users who request. It will likely require you surrender your Beamdog version in place of the Steam code.

It is simple to activate the game on steam If we were given keys. Many other game can be activated that way. Even some games bought on EA:s origins (Like mass effect 1 + 2) can be activated on steam as well. So i really don't see the problem here Beamdogs?

Surely you could have expected people to ask questions about beamdogs so surely you have an answer, whether it is yes or no. Just don't ignore us.

I bought the Beamdog version of BGEE on the 6th september, because is was supposed to be released on the 15th of september and because it was supposed to be a beamdog exclusivity :

On the 14th of september, I was sent an email annoucing finally the game will be released on the 30th of november !
I kept my calm and just thought about hours of game coming.
When it was released, the version was bugged from everywhere, except the pages to buy new cosmetic content!

Now... I'm told the BGEE is on Steam.
I suppose it is too late to be charged back because of any condition I didn't read in the contract... Whenever it is misleading advertising.

You have made announcement so real fans bought this version on Beamdog. Now, I want a Steam activation code or charge back.

I absolutely support this. I already own my old, original 5 CDs plus TotSC, the digital version from GOG.com, and now the EE on a digital service I have no interest in using except for this game. However, I have 550+ games on Steam and would be extremely grateful for the opportunity to consolidate and take advantage of my existing friends list. Not to mention, having the ability to write a positive Steam review that will be read by my friends and fellow group members. Please make this a reality.

They really should give out steam keys to the people that bought it from here for 2 reasons:
1. We were told it wasn't going to be available on steam and
2. Its good costumer service, they won't lose any customers but they will make the existing ones happy.

I would also love steam key activation as I bought this months ago and would have preferred it on steam
