When resting the party some times it is for as much as 20 days. This happens with and without 'rest until heal' setting on. This problem varies but at present my game is already on 490 days at the city of Baldurs Gate.

Obviously this is not too much of a problem, only when there is time scales to stick too.

Also still no Dorn or Neera, I have checked the relevant areas where they should be.

Apparently the cursor problem has to do with being zoomed out too much. Try zooming in a few levels when you want to enter/transition and you should see the wheel appearing again.

This worked for some people anyway.

I have found Rassad but no Dorn or Neera, Ive checked out beregost AND friendly arm inn.. no signs. I paid $20 for the game so surely I should have them both included in my purchase??

I'm about as lost as you are at this point, sadly :S Im looking at different forums for a solution, if I find one I'll post it wherever I can.

i was wondering if some one could tell me if i could get the new Balders Gate on disc ?? i thought you could but then when i had a quick look around i couldn't see anything it was supposed to be a Christmas pressant and i don't no anything about the whole downloading games thing :s

Same problem, running with XP Service Pack 3. It doesn't look like this is a firewall problem.

My launcher doesnt crash, but it wont let me login either due to a "server error". Im running XP with SP 3.

It seems to be a lot better than what it was, actually. I recall in the original BG when a character got stuck on another, they'd sometimes walk in the complete opposite direction trying to find an alternate route. Making a round about the map.

Either way it still sometimes happens and this could just be a limitation of the engine. Even Icewind Dale 2 had this issue (The last Infinity Engine game to be released)- I actually played it last month in anticipation for this and it was absolutely horrid from what I had remembered. This enhanced edition seems like a god-send in what it could have been as far as path-finding goes. There is definitely room for improvement, though.

My thought about it is that if they tried tinkering around the movement mechanics, it could have been fucking up spells and effects that deal with movement of the character. Who knows?

I bought te baldur's gate expanded edition because I was a fan of the original and I heard good things(speculation) about how cool it would be. it would be accept: it constantly toggles between the current scree and the previous-gave my nephew a seizure thanks for that-, I can't save a game-when I save it just disappears even if I try loading right after I save, the lag is horrendous, etc. Now I have heard from other people who play that there are loading issues even with the mods that they find disappointing but nothing like what I have to deal with. Yes, by-the-way I do have the minimum requirements. I actually heard about Balders gate EE from friends on DDO and WOW- if I can play both of those fine, it's not my computer. I expect immediate action, or an immediate refund. Just fair warning this game was a Christmas present from the last person on earth any internet business wants pissed at them.

I've been trying to create a party of characters for the new "Black Pits" campaign. Unfortunatly after I finish rolling a character it tends to disappear when I hit the "create" button again. What's more sometimes the sample party characters re-appear in the roster.

I've spent well over an hour randomly rolling characters until I got them how I wanted (several times) and keep losing my progress. I've pretty much given up for the moment.

If I'm doing something wrong I'd appreciate someone letting me know. If not (which I assume since it seems fairly straightforward) I hope a patch is forthcoming soon because right now the game, or at least this portion of it, is pretty much unplayable.

I do remember some issues with pathing back in the day, but was it really this bad? I can understand some pathing issues, but some are blatantly horrible. Example: I will click the bottom of the "Friendly Inn" map at from the doorway of the inn itself and maybe 5 of my 6 guys will head the way they should, while one wanders off to the east where there is no way out. Or something similar to this.

Also, in close-quarter battles, one of my guys will stutter-step around, looking for an angle of attack, while he could clearly walk around and attack.

This isn't 100% of the time, but it's certainly annoying.

I have been emailed a code to redeem for Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, but I have no clue what to do next. All of the options from Feed to Credit cards do not link to anything. Clicking buy on the Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition for 19.99 doesn't do anything other than send me to the top of the same page. I need help.

1. Cannot enter some buildings the open door symbol does not show, instead it will just display circle with line through.
2. circles no longer appear beneath player and party, also the green line used for click and drag or for multi select no longer shows.
3. distorted backgrounds when going into some stores or buildings.

I can no longer play now until I am able to enter buildings...

On the plus side, the flashing screen when loading is gone.. cant wait for issues to be resolved as I think the improvements are great.

Your laptop almost certainly uses Intel integrated graphics.

You might have noticed that Intel Integrated Graphics are not supported, as mentioned right in the download client under "System requirements."

This is not Beamdog's fault, it's Intel's. Their chips don't support OpenGL worth a damn, even the version that BG:EE uses which is many years old.

You need to say what, specifically, happens.

There are many keys that can be bound to different actions.
Is it possible that there's a key stuck on your keyboard that might be cancelling character actions?
This doesn't require a key to be physically stuck. Most Microsoft keyboards, for example, are made extremely cheaply and have membranes that can make keys stuck or even swap keys just because of a little static build-up.

Can you try right-clicking the game in the Beamdog client, select "Open game location", then right click again and click "Remove".
In the window opened by "Open Game Location", ensure that all files have actually been deleted.

Google GateKeeper or ShadowKeeper.

These programs were once popular character editors (the former for BG, the latter for BG2). I'm honestly not sure they will work with BG:EE , or which you'd use -- it depends on how much the saved game file format has changed.

For those that bother to look at the facts, things don't look so bad:

1) Three patches have been released in less than 2 weeks.
MonkeyRocket, perhaps you'd rather have their limited time used to reply to each and every person's forum post in 2 forums than actually fixing problems?

2) Many (certainly not all) complaints are from people with Intel Integrated Graphics, which the Beamdog client and website make very clear, isn't supported.

3) The development team is very small.

Porting software from Windows to other platforms is hard, especially when it's old and graphically heavy. BG1 has been out for over a decade. It won't kill anyone to wait a bit longer. If you read the forum posts, many player's problems have already been solved in a short time. That is the definition of good support.

I've now the same problem here. I was downloading the last patch and then suddenly i can't even leave the latest map. I tried to load a previous savegame, but this didn't worked either. Now i can't play any further, because only of this damned last patch i was downloading before.

Something must be odd for me because the game plays great on my computer. The only thing I wish for is to be able to adjust the font size since its a little small on my 42" HDTV.

Now the client I do have issues with, it keeps changing from crazy slow(bytes!) to only a few KB. Sometimes it will go up to around 50-150 KB/s. Trying to get the most recent update right now, might take 30 minutes for a small update. Its not a massive problem but I hope BG2 won't be this slow. I realize its probably my router since I've had issues with utorrent & port forwarding but I would like to download the updates not through a client but through a direct download.

It looks like 640x480 icons scaled to 1080p with something like hqx interpolation to me. Blurry and sort of cell-shaded.

I tried to install it with the beamdog client.
Now it will allow me to play from online, but does not install anything on my computer.

I lost the program because of a restore issue.
I downloaded it again and ran the installer
The BG window appears with the message Preload Complete.

Please help me install the whole program.
